The Packers came up short in the final seconds, but we got all the answers to our 3 Questions from before the game:
- Can Rodgers get his groove back? Not soon enough. Rodgers was way off early, trying to force the ball to MVS, but missing him almost every time. He settled in later and seemed to really find his groove at the end, when the Packers went into score-at-will mode. He said his toe was bothering him, but hopefully he’ll be able to practice a little more this week. If he can play a full game the way he played in the 2nd half, the Packers offense should be in really good shape.
- Can Dillon carry the load? Probably? Hard to tell when he only had 11 carries. he certainly didn’t seem unable to handle it, averaging nearly 5 yards per carry. Unfortunately, the Packers continue to use him sparingly.
- Who’s gonna rush Kirk Cousins? Preston Smith did. Kenny Clark did, too. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t enough, especially down the stretch as Cousins took advantage of about half a dozen missed interception opportunities by the Packers to put together an impressive final stat line.
