The Packers travel to Bird-Killer Stadium this week to take on the Vikings.
Here are the 3 biggest questions that will determine the outcome of the game:
- Can Rodgers get his groove back? Rodgers has been hurt and hasn’t practiced much in close to a month. It’s clearly impacted his timing with his receivers. Playing in a dome against a division rival would be a great time for his to re-establish a rhythm.
- Can Dillon carry the load? The Packers had a great one-two punch at running back with Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon. With Jones sidelined and Kylin Hill on IR, Dillon will need to take on a larger role as the sole focal point of the running game.
- Who’s gonna rush Kirk Cousins? Za’Darius Smith isn’t gonna play. Whitney Mercilus’s season just came to an end. Rashan Gary’s elbow went gumby last week and may not play. Even if he does, it’s hard to imagine him playing at 100% trying to push tackles on the edge with a bum elbow. That leaves Preston Smith as the only starter-quality guy left at what was a very deep position. Preston has only played 58% of the defensive snaps so far this year, so he can’t do it all himself. Tipa Galeai was called up from the practice squad and second-year man Jonathan Garvin is sure to get some snaps.
