Every game this year had looked a little different, but the Packers keep finding ways to win. Here were the big things.
This team hustles
Last week, it was Jaire running someone down, this week Will Redmond chased down Josh Jacobs in the first drive to save a TD and Oakland had to settle for a field goal. Later, he chased down Darren Waller at the 2. The Raiders fumbled that drive when Blake Martinez made a hustle play to chase down Derek Carr near the goal line. Then there were plays like Aaron Jones blocking 25 yards downfield to spring MVS on a 74 yards score. Hustle matters. This is a hard-working, unselfish team.
LaFleur’s offense
The three running backs had over 100 yards receiving and 2 TDs, plus 3 catches of over 20 yards. A tight end led the team in catches. We knew Matt LaFleur ran a different kind of offense and with Davante Adams out, we’re seeing it run superbly.
Those other receivers
Geronimo had a great contested catch (called back), MVS had a couple big plays, Kumerow had a tight rope tiptoe touchdown, and Lazard made a great jumping sideline catch. They aren’t super stars, but they are more than enough for this offense to function. And when Davante comes back…
