Reason #6 For Optimism In 2021: The Bears Still Suck

Yes, the 2020 season ended in disappointing fashion.

If just one play or one call or one playcall would have been different, the Packers could have been in the Super Bowl. Based on the disarray the Chiefs were in from injuries and off-the-field issues, the Packers may very well have won.

But it didn’t happen.

There’s looming salary cap issues in 2021 and some key players surely won’t be back, but there are a lot of reasons to be optimistic for the 2021 season and we’ll be counting them throughout the offseason.

Today we look at Reason #6: The Bears Still Suck.

The Bears managed to limp to an 8-8 record (with two of those losses coming at the paddle of your Green Bay Packers) and, thanks to an expanded field, managed to back into the playoffs following a season-ending 35-16 loss to the Packers.

Where they were promptly bounced.

Ha ha.

They did just good enough to not get a high draft pick. They’re involved in another quarterback controversy with a new rumor oppingup every day about who they may try to trade for. Having a lower draft pick has made that harder on them, too.

Looking ahead, there’s no real reason for optimism for the Bears.

Same front office.

Same coaches.

Same players.

Same old Bears.

Packers fans should be able to look forward to a 3rd consecutive season of sweeping their rivals to the south.

And that’s a reason for optimism.
