The Packers won their first game after a bye in the LaFleur era and we have answers to the three questions we posed before the game:
- Can Rodgers keep his toe away from the Bears? Yup. Without an offensive line, he managed to avoid getting hit much. It was some impressive decision-making and pocket manipulation. This is something he’s gotten better at since breaking his collarbone a couple times and will extend his career.
- Does Nagy have any tricks up his sleeve? I do have to give Nagy credit on motivating his team. The Bears came out ready to play. He also did a great job of using Justin Fields’s mobility to get the offense moving. He didn’t try anything too exotic, though and he probably should have given the circumstances.
- Who will step up in the Slot? Well, they moved guys around a lot, but Allen Lazard really stepped up from a production standpoint and they’ll need him to be ready for their Super Bowl run. Josiah Deguara also flashed.
