3 Questions: Packers at Ravens – 2021 Week 15

The Packers are hot, but banged up. They travel to Baltimore to face the only team in the league that seems to have lost somewhere near as much talent to injury as the Packers.

Here are the 3 biggest questions that will determine the outcome of the game:

  1. Can the Ravens defend the pass? They lost cornerback Marcus Peters in the preseason. They lost starting safety DeShon Elliott last month. Then they lost their other cornerback in Marlon Humphrey a couple weeks ago. Now Chuck Clark, their other safety (and defensive playcaller) is on the Covid list. It’s possible the Ravens will be without all 4 of their preferred starting defensive backs.
  2. What will the Ravens do at quarterback? Lamar Jackson is the team’s leading rusher. His mobility opens up their passing game. His injury has prevented him from practicing all week and the outlook for him playing is bleak. Backup Tyler Huntley has left much to be desired in his performance. They way the Packers defense is playing, the Ravens will need to get creative with a backup or an injured starter if they want to have a chance.
  3. What creative new screw-ups will Packers special teams unveil this week? The Packers showed just how bad their special teams unit can be last week. Or did they? The Ravens have the best special teams unit in the game and that might be enough to further expose the Packers deficiency… and could be enough to turn the tide of the game.
