Thank You For Your Support! I’m Shocked!

I love the football and I love the Packers.

I also love talking about the Packers.

That’s what led me to blogging about the Packers. As I got deeper into following the Packers and wanting to understand how the team was built, it led me into a deeper analysis of the draft (and a goal to be the top source for Packers-specific draft content via Draft Central) and free agency.

Last month, I remembered what it was like trying to understand the deep nuances of the draft and free agency. I remembered how every article only seemed to cover a tiny piece of it.

I’ve written, discussed, and thought about the draft and free agency and how they work and impact the team that gets put on the field. I got beyond the fantasy football dreams of going “all in” and building a “dream team” for one big push at the Super Bowl (like the Eagles did in 2011), and thought more about the long-term management of keeping a team competitive.

I’ve found it fascinating.

So I wrote a couple books on the topics – one on draft strategy and one on free agent strategy – since I lamented the fact that there just wasn’t a lot of resources available to learn more about what teams do and why.

You must have felt the same way, because I never imagined this would happen:

That’s what I saw when I checked Amazon last week.

That’s the Top New Releases chart for my category on Amazon. My books on draft and free agency were the number 1 and number 2 new releases.

I was humbled.

Seriously.

Shocked.

Thank you all for supporting me in this endeavor – I really hope you find these resources helpful in understanding and appreciating the game on a deeper level.
